Fist NFL Weekend of 2016

Okay,
I haven't been on in a while. Here it goes, August was busy as I went to Toronto, for my cousin's wedding. It was an hour or two from Toronto the city itself. It was in Creemore, Ontario and the wedding was Nashville themed. It was a lot of fun and then up to Northern Ontario for a stay at my other cousin's mother-in-law's cottage on the lake. That was a beautiful part of Canada.

Now here in September my aunt and uncle from Chicago are coming in for a few days. I haven't seen them since June of 2009 when my other cousin Matt got married. However before all the fun of company can begin the Bears and Houston Texans play...Oh LORD! After we gave up a lot of good players including my kicker right before the season starts. Now let's see what we got...probably going to have a lot of cursing going on from the Chicago camp!

As for my job it will be in October...long story there but we at last have rolled out our dog walking service which I signed up for. As management I think it would be great for me to know the dogs around the property where I will be working.

I'm signing off and I promise for more stories next week.

So many things to finally say!

Last weekend I went to Nebraska Furniture Mart was impressed at it's size and selection. It's interesting to note it's location in The Colony, TX because across the highway, there is Rooms To Go. Two unique furniture shopping. The thing that impressed me the most of NFM was the free shipping to the house. My folks got a new mattress and we all wanted to poke around there just to see what was the big deal. Well two stories of choices beyond choices of things for your home or apartment. WOW.

Later that day we ate lunch at the Rock and Brews chain owned by Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley of Kiss. Very cool. I tried to get a picture of the wonderful mural of Oak Cliff's Stevie Ray Vaughn but it came out blurry.

This last full week of May should bring about more training for my job. Notice how I said should. I've been patient for a year, giving them time, trying not to look for jobs when they sent me information about this job. However, this month I began actively searching again because I'm getting bored and restless. There are so many fake clients and dogs I can create for this job before you become bored with playing with the software. I even figured out how to delete a few clients to pretend a move with the family or whatever.

In my family life there are two more weddings to lock down to next year monthly back to back but certainly doubt the days being back to back. I am hoping with the wedding of my dad's goddaughter in March (one of the above mentioned weddings) that the time could be stretched for more than just a Friday through Sunday trip. It's because by that time a friend of mine who lives in Illinois will have given birth to her first child and I would love to see her and husband and the newborn! We shall see.

So that will be all for now.

Angels In April on April's Fools!

Hi all,
I just wanted to share a story that occurred on April 1st. My mom's car broke down while running errands and she decided to take my car to finish the last of the errands. We went together to Kroger and got her groceries. We pulled up to a line and the cashier rang up half our order and then the whole machine died wiping out her order. By now my mom who most people know can handle things was at her breaking point and keep in mind this all happened on April Fools. The day where pranks can be funny and good nature or bad luck. We were moved to the next lane and had to scan the last few items first and then re-scan all the others. The cashier told my mom she was sorry for the inconvenience (which was beyond anyone's control) and told her she saved $35 in coupons. My mom jokingly said that this would go to car getting fixed fund. We proceeded to go out and put the groceries in the trunk when one of the two ladies behind us in line came up to my mom. She said "God Bless you and please take this gift for your troubles" or something along those lines. My mom tried to refuse this but the lady insisted on it and walked away. Me being nosy and curious shut the back door and went to the trunk to find my mom standing in shock and very moved to tears with a brand new $100 bill. She was completely grateful and flustered that I offered to drive her home while she calmed down. This was a not an April Fools joke at all, this was an act of an Angel and decent human being. On a day when most people would hide from the world because of all jokes and everything else that comes with that day, we went out, had a few problems and then the kindness of strangers brought a lot of light in that day.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone! Christ has risen! On Good Friday, I received my work tablet and was playing around with the software I will be working with at my company. Today I tried it on my own and couldn't get connected because of an error problem. I guess this was HIS way of telling me not to work on HIS weekend and relax. :)

The work on the inside of the building is nearing completion and my boss hopes to be up and running either the last week of April or first week of May. I think they would prefer the April opening to get started and deal with the late spring and summer crowd.

Anyway Have a Happy Easter!

New Year, Late Start

It's been a while since I've posted something. I've been really busy taking care of my mom's broken ankle and I can finally say, we are in the home stretch. YES!!! January is coming to an end and of course that means Super Bowl 50 is right around the corner. That means above all it is time for the commercials. Looking forward to seeing some good ones and hopefully not too many bad ones. Before the big game is played we need to find out what teams will be playing each other for the title. Personally I hope it goes to Carolina and Denver, just in case Payton Manning decides to retire. The reason for choosing Carolina over Arizona is because there are some former Chicago Bears on that team. First the coach of the Panthers is a Bears 85 Superbowl team. Second and third they have Greg Olsen and Charles Tillman. So go Carolina!
